Unifying Nonprofits in Their Efforts (UNITE!) Meeting
🌟 UNITE! 🌟 In our March meeting we started the meeting with Purpose Driven Organizations workshop where we worked on defining our why and the why for our organizations.
We then dived into an interactive discussion for in small tables where we identified the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats for youth in the region. Out of this there is interest in creating a youth-focused working group that will continue these discussions, finding gaps, space for organizations working with youth to communicate and collaborate. Email us if you are interested in getting updates about this group.
The Collective Impact Team shared more information about the upcoming Youth Leadership Summit. The summit is a 2024 task that has been scheduled for March 27th. Having to rush to put on this community event, we are looking to create a smaller event this time to create foundation for future events. The Collective Impact Team invite nonprofits to attend to see how they can be part of this event with the vision of hosting this event annually. Please share with young adults you work with that are 16-22 years of age. While there are just a few slot for tabling at the event, you are welcome to share materials for opportunities you have for young adults. Email us if you are interested in getting involved with the Youth Leadership Summit.
Girl Scouts NM Trails highlighted their Every Girl Initiative. This program aims to ensure that all girls, regardless of background or ability, have access to the organization's programs and opportunities to develop leadership skills, build confidence, and make a positive impact on the world. If you are interested in learning more about sharing this with your network contact Girl Scouts NM Trails.
