Collective Impact

Collective impact is a United Way Northern New Mexico led network of community members, organizations, and institutions who advance equity by learning together, aligning, and integrating their actions to achieve population and systems change.

Collective Impact: Transforming Communities, Empowering Futures

At United Way of Northern New Mexico, we believe in the power of collaboration to create lasting change. Through Collective Impact, we are transforming lives in Rio Arriba and Los Alamos Counties with a two-pronged strategy: strengthening nonprofits and empowering young leaders.

Building Nonprofit Capacity and Capability - UNITE!

By uniting community organizations, we’re improving the quality and accessibility of vital services that address pressing issues such as food insecurity and behavioral health. Regular collaborative meetings provide nonprofits with opportunities for training, funding resources, and shared problem-solving to tackle the unique challenges our communities face—together.

Empowering Young Leaders

At the same time, we’re investing in the next generation of leaders. Tailored programs inspire youth to discover their potential and equip them with essential skills to succeed in meaningful careers, all while serving as role models for future generations.

Our youth-focused offerings include:

  • Job and life skills workshops

  • Train-the-Trainer programs in Mental Health and Community Health

  • Financial literacy classes

  • And more youth-driven training programs designed to foster confidence and capability.
