Steven Renfro

I grew up in Northern New Mexico and have seen many of the problems that plague our great communities first hand.  Often, these problems emerge quickly and we need a way to respond to them just as quickly.  I choose to serve the United Way of Northern New Mexico because I believe that solving our issues locally can really help our communities and our neighbors.  Our United Way partners are truly experts in identifying current issues, gaps in resources, and programs that help address these urgent problems that continue to harm our friends and family in Northern New Mexico.

Steve was born in Farmington, NM, received a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA both from the University of New Mexico, and has lived in Northern New Mexico most of his life. He has been married to Catherine for over 26 years and together they have raised two children who are both now pursuing higher education. Steve is a senior manager at Los Alamos National Laboratory and lives in White Rock.
